In 80% of the bags, you'll find your date code either printed on a small leather tag inside the pocket or just stamped onto the lining.

It's particularly critical on the new bracelets to use Loctite on the six o'clock side screw, because it secures the fold over lock. If this is lost, it's expensive, compared to a little Loctite. Rolex has specific Loctites recommended for screws. We are using Loctite 562, but Rolex may have changed that recently.

I have read recommendations for using Loctite 221 or 222 for screws on Rolex bracelets. Locally, I can find Loctite 242 BLUE. Is 242 a suitable alternative?
Loctite glue is considered the best glue for this purpose. In fact, this is what Rolex uses at the factory, and it is also the glue that Rolex requires official Rolex retailers to use when performing this step. Rolex uses both Loctite 222 and 221 for their bracelet sizing kits. Loctite® Threadlocker Blue 242® is particularly suited for applications on less active substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, where disassembly is required for servicing. Loctite® Threadlocker Red 271™ is designed for the permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. It’s simple really, and the same one manufacturers like Rolex use in the very construction of the watch: Loctite. This is a specially designed thread locking liquid that will ensure your screw only comes loose when you want it to. Anytime a Rolex bracelet screw is removed, it is good to LocTite the screw back in. LocTite is available in various strengths and applications, but Rolex recommends LocTite 222 (red bottle, purple fluid) for Oyster bracelet screws.
I’ve seen different suggestions on the best Loctite glues when changing crown in order to fix it in steam, the following recommendations appear mostly : 638, 603 & 270 mainly. Is there a final word?
You should use a tiny drop of loctite. Loctite is widely available, so not sure why you'd need to have this service done professionally? The low strength purple kind (222, I think) is the best for this application. Some folks have also used clear nail polish in the absence of loctite. If you do use Loctite the Loctite grade you should use is 221 or 222/223 but just a very very very tiny amount on female screw thread only and you will be fine. To loosen screws heat is the best, from say a small blow torch, or even a gas cigarette lighter.Discord: https://discord.gg/qUsuaqJzweI saw a lot of different advice floating about, so I've dug into the spec sheets of the most recommended loctites and c.
