So here is my question, what is the best way to get it off.
I don't want to look at an ugly cheap green plastic hologram sticker on my caseback so I started picking away to remove it. After removing the sticker, the caseback was covered with sticky remnants of the glue! I was able to clean and remove all the glue remnants without scratching the caseback.

It doesn't do any harm to leave it on, but it will deteriorate. If you're into keeping the accessories, and I mean all of them, then the common solution is to carefully peel it off and stick it to some plastic or wax paper and save it with the rest of the toys.

The only time I haven't removed stickers, is when the case back has an engraved design and I'd rather it not collect the dirt/sweat that will naturally collect underneath your watch. And, that's only if the original sticker retains its ability to adhere.
As seen when looked at closely (I did my best to show it in the picture), the green "hologram" sticker is still fastened to the case back of my 16622 Yachtmaster with the plastic protector still stuck on top.
